As of June 2024:
We’re thrilled to announce that Target will be the first anchor retail tenant in Lake Nona West. The nearly 150,000-square-foot store is eagerly awaited in the region and promises to elevate the shopping experience.
This latest development follows last year’s announcement by Tavistock of plans for Lake Nona West, a 405,000-square-foot lifestyle shopping center situated along Lake Nona Boulevard just east of the Boggy Creek Road intersection. The shopping center will feature both large and junior anchor stores on the periphery, while at its heart, a “mini-town” packed with an assortment of shops, restaurants and services aims to foster a vibrant community atmosphere.
As of Spring 2024, site preparations are advancing, with Tavistock in advanced discussions with a variety of tenants, aiming to feature a mix of renowned national brands alongside best-in-class local shops, restaurants and service operators.
Additional highlights for Lake Nona West include:
· Innovative Amenities: Lake Nona West will be outfitted with EV charging stations, allowing shoppers to recharge their vehicles while they shop
· Artistic and Cultural Finishes: True to Lake Nona’s reputation for integrating art and community, the shopping center will feature a custom artwork program throughout its premises, enhancing the visitor experience
· Accessibility & Design: Two large roundabouts on Lake Nona Boulevard will mark the main entrances to Lake Nona West, ensuring smooth traffic flow and easy access
Lake Nona remains one of the fastest growing master-planned communities in the U.S. and an innovation hub and living lab for Central Florida.

As of July 2023:
A surge in housing, office, research, clinical, and hospitality real estate over the past decade is paving the way for a bevy of new shops, restaurants and personal services retailers in Lake Nona, Orlando’s fastest growing neighborhood.
Lake Nona West is a new lifestyle shopping center planned along Lake Nona Boulevard near Boggy Creek Road on a 54-acre parcel of land just minutes from the vibrant community’s urban core, new Brightline Station and the Orlando International Airport.
Tavistock Development submitted site plans to the City of Orlando earlier today that depict more than 405,000 ft² of open-air shops and ground floor parking. The application also indicates elevated architecture and landscaping, outdoor entertainment spaces and vibrant public art, which are hallmarks of the Lake Nona experience.
“We are in advanced conversations with several sought-after national and local brands, along with best-in-class shops, restaurants, specialty grocers and personal service operators that will continue to serve our growing Lake Nona community and the broader southeast Orlando region,” said Skipper Peek, senior vice president of commercial development.
Tenant announcements are expected this winter.
Lake Nona West is scheduled to break ground in 2024 and open in Fall of 2025.
In addition to Lake Nona West, Lake Nona has also recently opened three new class A+ office buildings in the heart of the Lake Nona Town Center and will soon celebrate the grand opening of one of Lake Nona’s new businesses with leading aviation training company SIMCOM, which will welcome 10,000 pilots annually to Lake Nona’s innovative ecosystem. Lake Nona remains one of the fastest growing master-planned communities in the U.S. and an innovation hub and living lab for Central Florida.
