Are you ready to recharge your weekend with a brunch guaranteed to engage all your senses? Settle into a plush booth, order a round of mimosas and dig into flavorful dishes at any of these Lake Nona restaurants full of energy and ambiance. Here are some of our favorite places to spend Sunday Funday in the Nonahood.
Canvas Restaurant & Market
Brunch Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Overlooking one of Lake Nona’s most beautiful views, this signature Laureate Park restaurant and market is the perfect spot to find yourself for brunch. Whether you opt for one of the freshly baked pastries and a made-to-order espresso drink from the market or dine in the main restaurant with its striking design, brunching at Canvas will have you coming back every weekend. Be sure to start with the Beignets, served with Florida sweet corn custard, blueberry confit and white chocolate, and don’t miss the Canvas Benedict, piled with Canadian bacon, oven-dried tomatoes, poached eggs and jalapeño Hollandaise.
Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen
Brunch Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
With a live DJ on Sundays spinning tunes and an irresistibly indulgent menu, Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen is the place to see and be seen for weekend brunch. Start with a house-crafted cocktail or mocktail made with Seedlip zero-proof spirits, then order a bevy of brunch bites to share with the table. The Giant Cinnamon Roll is a must, covered with decadent vanilla icing, or go bougie with a platter of refreshing oysters served with watermelon granita. Oohs and aahs will echo when you’re served the Molten Strawberry French Toast stuffed with strawberry cream cheese and topped with dulce de leche and Vermont maple syrup.
Drive Shack
Brunch Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 12 to 3 p.m.
Hit a bucket of balls on the driving range and work up an appetite for Drive Shack’s brunch specials, available on weekend afternoons alongside their regular menu of bar bites and bevs. Bring the whole family for a fun-filled afternoon that’s 100% kid-friendly. We love the Avocado Toast special with smashed avo, red onions, grape tomatoes and an over-easy egg. The Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese on the regular menu is a delicious brunch option, piled with tender pork, Swiss and Cheddar cheeses and bacon jam on toasted sourdough bread.
Nona Blue Modern Tavern
Brunch Hours: Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
You’ll feel like family as soon as you step into the friendly, elegant digs at Nona Blue Modern Tavern, where there’s likely golf and a game on TV and a skilled bartender with your mimosa or Bloody Mary at the ready. Don’t miss the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes served with applewood-smoked bacon and home fries, the decadent Lobster Eggs Benedict with butter-poached lobster, Canadian bacon, grilled asparagus and Hollandaise sauce, and the juicy Steak & Egg Sandwich with sliced prime rib, fried eggs your way, smoked bacon, Havarti cheese and tomatoes on a toasted baguette.
