Lake Nona’s fall events bring seasonal fun for the whole family

This year’s holiday event season kicked off with a fun-filled SpookNona celebration! The eerie-sistible event provided a weekend full of outdoor fall festivities for the entire family to enjoy.

Residents and visitors alike made their way to the official re-opening of Boxi Park for the weekend’s main event: Lake Nona’s first-ever pumpkin patch. Dressed in their Halloween best, families stopped for photo ops with festive fall décor while perusing the patch’s selection of more than 1,500 pumpkins, hay bales, cornstalks, and mums.

Boxi Park’s signature food and drink vendors served fan favorites and seasonal treats including specialty ice cream and fall brews from Park Pizza & Brewing Co. while live entertainment cast a magical spell throughout the evening. If you missed out on the pumpkin patch, fear not! Boxi Park is now open Thursday – Sunday.

SpookNona also hosted a special screening of “Hocus Pocus” in Crescent Park. Viewers were able to watch from the safety of their own social circles that were distanced throughout the park while snacking on funnel cakes, kettle corn, and donuts.

Thank you to our resident partners in the Laureate Park community, Nonahood News, and Beep.

Next month, Lake Nona is hosting an inaugural Veterans Day celebration event in Lake Nona Town Center honoring local veterans on November 13 at 6 p.m.

The Lake Nona holiday fun continues with the return of our annual holiday celebration, Oh, What Fun!® A Holiday Festival, later this year. We’ll share more details as the holiday season approaches.
