Five of Orlando’s top custom homebuilders have started construction on new spec homes in the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club with prices starting at $3.875 million. Each of the builders has been assigned three lots in the first major expansion of the gated, golf community. Master developer Tavistock Development Company is calling this section along the south shore of Lake Nona “Cromwell.” So far, the developer has platted 46 lots along Cromwell Road and is releasing 16 ranging in size a quarter acre to a half acre. Cathy Williams, luxury property specialist and broker for Lake Nona Realty, said the inventory of resale homes remains extremely low within the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club because people tend to buy and stay here for the long term. “The expansion will allow us to meet the current buyer demand and welcome new residents.” So far this year, two estates in the community have sold for over $6 million. The new lots are just north of the KPMG Lakeside training campus, and the USTA National Training Campus is just outside the gate.
