Get Outside

With parks around every corner and miles of paved and unpaved trails, there are plenty of reasons to get outside in Lake Nona. Breathe your way into the weekend on Saturday mornings in Crescent Park with a complimentary hour-long yoga class. The comfortably paced classes allow time for beginners to find their poses and advanced yogis to find their edges.

Visit one or both of Lake Nona’s two City of Orlando parks: Heroes Community Park and McCoy Community Park. Within walking distance of Laureate Park Elementary School, Heroes Community Park features four multi-use fields lit for night activities. The park also has plenty of green space and a 12-foot-wide trail for walking and jogging. Or, play ball at the McCoy Community Park located on Dowden Road near NorthLake Park. The 25-acre park features a pony field, softball field, and two Little League fields perfect for practicing your swing. The park also connects to Lake Nona’s robust trail system.

One-of-a-kind Facilities

Take a swim lesson or fitness class at Lake Nona’s YMCA Family Center open to all YMCA members and residents of NorthLake Park. Nearby, the 100-court USTA National Campus offers a chance for families with children under 10 to play tennis together in the Nemours Family Zone in addition to a variety of individual programs for kids and adults. The National Campus also hosts free programs for military veterans, active service members, and anyone with physical disabilities.
